Feel like a Celebrity with This Excursion in Napa Valley

Feel like a Celebrity with This Excursion in Napa Valley

All aboard! Spending a day in Napa Valley is already perfection; however, a ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train is the epitome of sheer luxury. The Pullman Cars are dripping in vintage-inspired history with top-notch cuisine to match. If celebrities like Dylan Sprouse, Barbara Palvin, and Ginny Gardner have wined and dined, why haven’t you?

Guests will experience the ultimate red carpet treatment while on the Napa Valley Wine Train. From the friendly staff to over-the-top amenities, stepping on the train will transport you back in time. Each dining car tells its own story and is simply a lap of luxury. Dating as early as 1915, the dining cars have now been restored and are ready for your railroad culinary dining experience. Composed of a sleek plush setting each dining car has crisp linens and deep mahogany wood, which are simply intoxicating. Some of the cars even have the original deep red window ceilings!

Spending a day on the train is tailored to your needs and guests can opt to spend a few hours or embark on a full day experience. Whichever you opt for you're in for a treat. The Gourmet Express Lunch, for example, is an elevated lunch experience that includes a 3-course decadent meal while enjoying a 3-hour train journey and the breathtaking backdrop of rolling hills. Or you could opt for the Grgich Hills option that includes a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a freshly prepared multiple-course gourmet meal. In addition, guests who opt for this experience will disembark for a 1-hour seated tasting experience at Grgich Hills Estate. Whichever option you’re splurging for each will provide undeniable views, and cushioned seats as you pass through a few renowned vineyards such as Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, Grgich Hills, and more as you approach St-Helena before turning around to head back to Napa Valley.

With its increase in popularity, the minds behind the Wine Train are committed to offering a rotating menu and a different experience each and every time and season. For the holidays, the brand has announced its new Santa Train Jolly Journeys, which will run from November 30 to December 23. The new Santa Train allows riders to choose from four distinct railway experiences, including Santa’s Cookie Car, Gourmet Holiday Express, Jingle on the Rails, and the Very Merry Vista Dome.

“It’s incredible that the Santa Train is celebrating its 30th year, and the joy it brings to our community and beyond is really something special,” Nathan Davis, the general manager of the Napa Valley Wine Train, shared in a statement, per Food & Wine. “So many people look forward to this happy event year after year, and it has become a cherished holiday tradition.” By booking your journey during the holidays, the Wine Train plans to donate a portion of proceeds from tickets to both Expressions of Hope and The Napa Communities Firewise Foundation.

In addition to the Santa Train cars, guests can also select the Peppermint Tea experience which will include sparkling wine, steeped teas, finger sandwiches, and festive holiday treats. Reservations are available Friday through Sunday, Dec. 1 to Dec. 31. Tickets start at $215. If you’re looking for a unique experience that will leave a lasting impression, book your trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train today.
