The Space:

Cube Borealis Basecamp

The new cubes are spacious modern amenities for your stay! This cube slept up to three individuals.

The property has over 100 acres of land with two unique lodging options -- the geodesic igloo or the new modern cube. With a clear lens to stargaze and admire the scenery, the igloos are one of a kind. New to the space are the modern cubes. The cubes have a little more of a modern-setting. With room for up to three individuals, each cube has a floor-to-ceiling lens to capture the beauty in comfort. Both options are equipped with plush bedding and warm amenities to make your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible.

The Activities:

Guests are transported to a winter wonderland where activity and adventure await. With each reservation, guests will have a few activities added to the itinerary. From dog mushing, a Reindeer meet and greet, to a snowmachine ride through the breathtaking White Mountains there is an activity for everyone at Borealis Basecamp, that will make for an unforgettable experience.

In addition to the excursions, there are a few activities guests can also choose such as rent fat tire bikes, cross-country skis, embark on a nature hike as well and night smores which are free of charge. Finish the evening by booking a private hour session in the log cabin sauna. Filled with a plush robe and a water bucket to create your steam this is the embodiment of luxury. Log sauna at Borealis Basecamp

Nothing better than unwinding in this private sauna! You can rent by the hour for $35.00 (plus $1.00 per person).

Grab a hot chocolate from the lobby and play classic board games such as Uno, Trivial Pursuit, Candy Land, Yahtzee, and more in the bar while connecting with other travelers from all over the world who are on a quest for a glimpse of the enchanting aurora borealis. Each evening guests are also treated to a charcuterie board filled with artisanal cheeses, spread, fruits, and vegetables complete with accompaniments before your dinner at Latitude 65.

Culinary:

The hub for all meals comes complete with a stunning view. Opened in October 2018, Latitude 65 is a craftsman built yurt that presents innovative dishes that highlight the region. Breakfast consists of Reindeer sausage cooked-to-order omelets and quick items such as yogurt and coffee. Lunch options include delicious soup, salads, and sandwiches. However, dinner is the real treat at this destination. The lead chef typically has a negotiating night special that does not disappoint. Highlighting the local flavor and items we nosed on items such as king ivory salmon with an orange Blanc sauce. Another decadent option was the duroc pork chop stuffed with pistachios with a local mushroom base. There are also plenty of vegetarian options such as the Mushroom and squash risotto. The mission of Latitude 65 is to provide guests with a true Alaskan eating experience. We serve all sustainable Alaskan Seafood, and have established relationships with local farmers to provide local produce. Whatever you choose, with Chef Easter you're in good hands.
