Our/Los Angeles Partners with Artist Ruben Rojas - Teaching Angelenos to "Live Through Love" One Bottle at a Time

In general, LA is an absolute vibe. From each inch of the city LA is culturally diverse and strives to do better (for the most part). Here at Identify LA we are driven towards brands that strive to make a change. That’s why we are connected to Our/Los Angeles! Our/Los Angeles is special, and not only because it comes from Los Angeles, they’re special because like us the brand is driven to artists or organizations that make a difference. This month we are loving the philanthropic collaboration between street artist  Ruben Rojas and Our/Los Angeles

Being part of the local community means supporting it and our Spotlight campaign showcases other local people and businesses that we believe are making a positive difference within our community,” Anton van der Woude, Partner at Our/Los Angeles tells Identify LA EXCLUSIVELY. “Ruben’s beautiful work and message epitomizes everything that we want to celebrate in Los Angeles culture."

Our/Los Angeles vodka has partnered with artist Ruben Rojas best known for his “love” artwork to spread the message of “Live Through Love” with a custom label 750ml bottle available February 8th and priced at $20.99. Inspired by our shared love of Los Angeles, Ruben selected each color to represent a specific element within the city.

"Live Through Love is an active way of life. I create art for people to interact with and feel something. I’m inspired by Los Angeles every day because I am from here. It was really important to me that for this collaboration the vodka is made in LA and of course tastes good,” Rojas explained. “I tried to incorporate colors into the custom label that reflect the city. So, the Lakers Purple & Gold, Dodgers Blue for example and the other iconic LA sights like palm tree green. It really was a special project to be a part of.”

The collaboration also included a donation from Our/Los Angeles to Ruben's charity Beautify Earth to cover the cost of a mural by Ruben in Santa Monica. Beautify Earth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and international movement that creates impactful murals in neglected areas by engaging with brands, cities, developers, small businesses, neighborhood organizations, schools, and individuals. This will be the second initiative as a part of the brand’s LA Spotlight campaign partnering with different Angelenos each month for social good.

“Everyone has the opportunity to share their gifts, share their time, and give love. You don’t have to be the president or a celebrity. You can just be the best mother ever to your child, the best father, or even open the door for someone when you’re walking into Starbucks. Living Through Love doesn’t have to be this grand thing. Be a good person and over time, it’s a ripple effect; it keeps going forward. You never know who you will make an impact on,” Rojas shares.

From a unique taste to making a difference, Our/Los Angeles is a spirit that the City of Angels can be proud of.
