Samsung Electronics America,Inc., was the official mobile sponsor of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Each day interactive virtual reality experiences were brought to the forefront as guests took part in panels with various actors and directors.
“One of the biggest trends and themes for 2016 is virtual reality. At Samsung, we are making VR more accessible by partnering with the best in the industry to deliver a growing library of engaging, rich content for our Gear VR which is all made possible by our latest Galaxy devices,” said Marc Mathieu, chief marketing officer at Samsung Electronics America. “We are excited to engage with the creative community at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival to collaborate and amplify viewpoints, content and new technological advancements as we continue to cultivate development in the VR community.”

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Funny or Die: The Future of Comedy in VR
12:00 – 1 p.m. Deadline panel with Tallulah featuring Ellen Page and Sian Header (director)
12:00 – 1 p.m. Deadline panel with Goat featuring Andrew Neel, Brad Land, Nick Jonas and Ben Schnetzer
12:00 – 1 p.m. Deadline panel with Yoga Hoser featuring Justin Long, Kevin Smith, Harley Quinn Smith, Kim Leadford( producer) and Liz Destro (producer)
12:00 – 1 p.m. Deadline panel with the Birth of a Nation featuring Armie Hammer
It was a weekend of unique programming with new innovative activations to enhance your experience at the festival. Samsung Studio will also treat Festivalgoers to interactive filmmaker panels with Deadline, BMI, Broadcast Music, Inc. and Funny Or Die, among other programming took place over the weekend at the Samsung Studio.
