Esterel - Celebrating Earth Day In Style

Looking for a place to dine for Earth Day - no problem! Esterel Restaurant and Riviera 31 are celebrating. Esterel has put together a "green" prix-fix candlelight menu using only local products, for guests to indulge and celebrate.

Executive Chef Victor Boroda has created a wholesome menu available for Earth Day (April 22nd from 5 -10 PM) at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills’ signature eatery, Estérel Restaurant. The prix fix menu for $79 per person will give you a one-of-a-kind experience with all-natural, fresh dishes and satisfying desserts. In preparation for the meal, produce will be purchased locally from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. Additionally, in order to save electricity, this dinner will be candlelit, offering a uniquely romantic and intimate environment.

The dinner begins with an “Amuse-Bouche” that is specially hand-crafted by Chef Victor. These bite-sized tasters will set a healthy tone for the rest of the meal. Cocktails will also be available for purchase for $14. This event will feature “Green Dream,” a beverage containing vodka, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and arugula.

The first course begins with the choice of a “Crispy Mary’s Duck Confit” tossed with bitter greens, fennel, dried cherry, and blood orange vinaigrette or “Farmer’s Market Bounty” with seasonal vegetables, pickles, sunflower seeds, and herb vinaigrette.

The second course offers the options of  “Local Albacore Crudo” with savory citrus ponzu, avocado, watermelon radish, and pickled fresno or the “Peads & Barnetts Pork Belly  served with Fiscalini white cheddar polenta, broccoli rabe, and mostarda.

The bountiful third course includes the options of “Belcampo Flatiron Steak”  complete with french dumplings, roasted baby carrots, and smoked harissa chimichurri, “Sanddab Meuniere” with tasty Santa Barbara spot prawns, haricot verts, Weiser potato puree, and meyer lemon, or “Roan Mills Wheat Berry Risotto” arranged with foraged mushrooms, truffle cream, and Bellwether Pepato.

For dessert, guests can enjoy the “Bellwether Farms Ricotta Panna Cotta”, or “Fair Hills Apple Tarte Tatin” topped with salted caramel ice cream.
