BrunchCon LA - Only For The True Brunch Aficionado
Anyone who is a true Angeleno knows the importance of brunch! It's at the perfect time of day, normally filled with tons of mimosas, in a totally instagrammable worthy scene - what's not to love? This past weekend brunch lovers rejoiced as BrunchCon took over The Reef in DTLA!
Aperol Spritz is The Drink of Choice for Many in Europe!
Guests were able to sample bites from over 30 different restaurants which served samples of signature items as well as local favorites. Just enough to get you yearning for more! Some restaurants took the less is more approach while others created more of an 'experience.' #CulturedAF, Don't Go Bacon My Heart, Carbs Carbs Carbs, #FoodPorn, Hangover Eatz, Simply Eggscellent, Healthy as Fuq, Brunch and Bougie, Sweet Dreamz, and Dranks, were the categories that defined the fete.
Sweet Butter Had Something For Every Tastebud!
Sweet Butter brought their best to the event and offered guests a little bit of everything - WORTH IT! They served their signature biscuits and gravy and their bistro breakfast sandwich which was complete with scrambled eggs, white cheddar, bacon, Dijon aioli on a brioche bun - ENOUGH SAID! As if the display wasn't cute and inviting enough they topped off their display with a mountain of bite-sized vegan donuts and pancakes.
As far as the most creative the Bosscat Kitchen and Libations takes the cake - literally! The innovative establishment servd it's 'Bedrock Breakfast,' which was an interesting mix of: cotton cheesecake, chorizo, whipped cream, fruity pebbles, bourbon maple caramel. The package was intriguing and attendees loved the bright colors as it was very photogenic.
Jardesca is The Perfect Cocktail for Summer!
Most true brunch-goers will appreciate a lovely cocktail. Located in the center of all of the action was the 'drink hub,' where Ketel One, Aperol, Jardesca set up shop! Ketel One created a chic customizable cocktail where guests were able to make their favorite cocktails using fresh herbs and fruit.
The CulturedAF section debuted multiple sushi hotspots such as Nushii (which served up its spicy tuna sushi as well as salmon sushi.) Beacon at Echo Park served up delicious bites of toast with avo spread while luring in guests with info about its surroundings which serve as the perfect mini staycation.

Simply Eggscellent displayed photo worthy items from Cos & Pi, Mas Malo, and Benadditctz.
Benadditctz prides itself on infusing bits of various cultures into its items which make for a lot of local favorites. Pez Cantina served up an interactive pizole soup where attendees could spice to perfection and top it off with chips and salsa.
BrunchCon served up copious amounts of delicious bites. Whatever you may fancy, healthy or not, BrunchCon left no tastebud disappointed. Pomegrante bites from Juicy Gems were served as well as other health-conscious items from Suja, Noosa Yoghurt, Zico, Ubatuba Acai and more. Skinny Bitch Pizza even served samples of their flavorful guilty-free pizza.
Whole Foods Had a Yummy Interactive Donut Display For Guests to Enjoy!
Everyone says 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day,' however if it were up to LA it would be Brunch! Culinary bliss, palette engaging mimosas, paired under the 'never gloomy' skies of LA is the perfect recipe for the ideal brunch! BrunchCon LA was reminiscent of everything we know and love!
