Volupsa Opens New Location in Brea Mall & Launches Perfume Collection


Voluspa, leader in home fragrance, recently opened its newest retail location at the Brea Mall! This opening marks the brand's second-ever owned retail store in the greater Orange County area following the continued success of their flagship store in Fashion Island. Known for meticulously crafted, high-quality candles that combine innovative design, unique scent profiles, and accessible luxury, the new space will offer an elevated immersive shopping experience that reflects the essence of the brand.
“As we build our retail footprint, we want to perfect our concept here in Orange County, where Voluspa was founded and where our products are made to this day,” Chief Executive Troy Arnsten shared with the Business Journal. “Building locally gives our management team the ability to be directly involved, developing learnings that will guide us in the future,” Arnsten said.
Voluspa is thoughtfully expanding its owned retail, focusing on its hometown of Orange County to meet its beloved community where they are—all while maintaining a global presence and hand-pouring every candle just a few miles away at its headquarters in Irvine. This local retail expansion comes at a pivotal time for the brand, on the heels of its 25th anniversary and continued product expansion. Most recently, the brand launched a successful collaboration with the film, Wicked and pushed the boundaries with new scent profiles with its Mediterranean Lemon and Mountain Lavender & Chamomile fragrances.
After 25 years, the brand is transcending the home to the body, the beloved brand made its debut in the parfum space. As the brand evolves and grows, fine fragrance plays an integral role in the brand’s DNA and a natural next step for expansion.As consumers are aware, Voluspa is all about merging scents that surprise with objects of design, evoking self expression through the senses. Created by Master Perfumers, the captivating fragrances feature complex, globally sourced notes and sustainable ingredients. Each scent is designed to elevate your mood, while the intricately designed bottles mirror the artistry of their iconic candle vessels and draw inspiration from the humble spool of thread. The seven Eau de Parfums and their key notes include:
Neroli Sunbath: Solar-Powered Citrus, Neroli, Golden Amber
Ombré Aura: Pomegranate, Patchouli, Warm Amber
Saddle Up Santal: Cardamom, Sandalwood, Mahogany, Cedar
Peachy Queen: Golden Peach, Tuberose, Coconut Water

The seven Eau de Parfums recently launched at Anthropologie, Revolve, as well as in-store at Voluspa Fashion Island and Voluspa Brea Mall. Each fragrance will be available in 55ml ($90), 10ml ($28), and 1.5ml vials within the Discovery Set ($30).
Voluspa, co-founded by Arntsen in 1999, designs, manufactures and distributes all products from its 85,000-square-foot headquarters and facility in Irvine. The company already counts about 3,000 wholesale partners in the U.S.
