Barcelona Review - A Quick Glimpse Through the City

Barcelona Review - A Quick Glimpse Through the City

Barcelona is a city known for its beautiful architecture and culture, however it is so much beyond that.

I had the privilege of visiting Barcelona and not only obtaining knowledge of its historical beauty but also getting a glimpse of new age Barcelona activities thanks to the Barcelona Tourism Board.

New Barcelona gems such as: Sant Pau Art Nouveau SiteTorre BellesguardCasa Vicens, and more. The Torre Bellesguard shows the architecture of Antoni Gaudi between the years of 1900-1909. In all of Gaudi's works throughout the city you will see just how exceptional this man was. His creations are composed of various works elaborating on his skillman ship as well as his  imaginative ability to create a fantasy.

The Born Centre Cultural allows visitors to see the remains of 1714 Barcelona.  The Sant Pau Nouveau Site gives you a journey through the history of modern art. To continue with the modern art theme, one should take a stroll through Casa Lleó I Morena, which is located in the heart of Barcelonas' Passeig De Gràcia.

For travelers on a time crunch but wanting to see the highlights and monuments of Barcelona a ticket on the Barcelona Bus Turistic is a MUST. This bus is a hop on hop off tour bus that goes to many monuments throughout Barcelona. Convenient pick ups and drop off this three route bus runs every 5-10 minutes which allows guests the freedom to hop off and fully enjoy the city and capture the moments by snapping pictures.  Not only does the bus take you to highlights such as: Port Vell, World Trade Center,  Sagrada Familia, and more but it is also complete with a full listening guide in over 11 different languages.

Last but not least I recommend taking a ride a top the Barcelona Mirador De Colom, where you can obtain 360 panoramic views of Barcelona and all of its beauty.

Barcelona has no shortage of history and museums. In addition to the Barcelona Bus Turistic we were able to obtain museum passes which were good for two consecutive days. To plan your trip accordingly I suggest arriving at the museum of your choice early to secure entry.

Museu d'Història de Barcelona (MUHBA)Museu De La XocolataBarcelona Museum of Contemporary ArtCosmoCaixa BarcelonaJoan Miró FoundationMuseu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, and the Picasso Museum.

I particularly planned to visit the Picasso Museum where I was able to see some of his original work and not only get a deeper understanding of his history of artwork but see the various phases and transitions thorough his artwork.

Barcelona is a beautiful thriving city enriched with amazing architecture and history. For additional information or assistance with planning your next trip to Barcelona click HERE, visit their offices below, or simply connect via social media!
