Living in the great 'City of Angels' there is never a shortage of entertainment. Lucky Strike Entertainment isn't just bowling, it's pure entertainment at it's finest.
"We now focus on the “entertainment” portion. We aren’t a destination that is determined by whether or not you want to bowl. It’s there if you choose but the venues offer a scene that has options," states Barry Pointer the Chief Marketing Officer of LuckyStrike Ent. "Check out Soundcheck Live on Wednesdays in Hollywood. Want to shoot pool, catch a game or dance, hit up our downtown LA venue. We host fashion shows, celebrity and company driven fundraisers, paint nights and more."
Upon entering into the venue there is a overwhelming feeling of excitement. As giddy as a child opening presents on Christmas Day a night spent bowling is somehow nostalgic. It's good ole-fashion fun where there is a friendly little competition.
"Since the beginning, Lucky Strike has been unique and more or less set the standards for upscale bowling, statesBarry Pointer the Chief Marketing Officer of LuckyStrike Ent Over the years we have become so much more, creating a truly, social experience by adding live music, ping pong, shuffleboard, billiards and classic board games."
Of course you can always keep things classic. The nice thing of Lucky Strike is the classic feel with a modern touch. Electric blue with highlights of orange and cream creates a welcoming presence. The rich, vintage décor, street art and hip music are just some of the things that suite the city. Paintings of Marilyn Monroe, including a 30’ street art mural in Hollywood, Shepard Fairey and other local artists line the walls of both the downtown venue and the Hollywood venue.
Beyond the ambiance the chef at Lucky Strike created an upscale menu that is 'sicker than your average,' bar menu. Guests will enjoy decadent and unique bites such as short rib grilled cheese, shrimp po boys, or a New Orleans staple - poutines! The menu definitely delivers many favorable options for every palate.
"The food and beverage program was key in tying it all together," state Pointer. "Our new look is vintage, it has a vibe that is just “cool” and it needed a menu that reflected this. With the help of an outside chef consultant, we rolled out a gastropub style menu and a victorian style, crafted drink menu."
In conclusion Lucky Strike is pretty much the true 'bread and butter' of bowling alleys in Los Angeles! It's an upscale bowling alley that pays homage to many aspects that Hollywood is known for.
