LA Family Housing and actor and comedian P.J. Byrne will host their virtual fundraiser ‘Home Together’ on Thursday, June 25th to raise awareness and needed funds for their work to end homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring voices of elected officials and celebrity supporters, Home Together will celebrate their heroic frontline staff and program participants.

During the program, viewers will hear from Congressman Adam Schiff, Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez, and enjoy musical performances by 4-time Grammy award-winning artist India Arie, and actor, comedian, and singer Ed Helms. Other celebrity appearances include Kristen Bell, Troian Bellisario, Camila Coelho, Izabel Pakzad, JD McCrary andRaegan Revord.

In lieu of the annual LAFH Awards Gala, which was slated to raise over $2 Million, Home Together will be an evening of inspiration and celebration during a time of uncertainty and challenge. Since the Stay At Home order was enacted, LA Family Housing has moved 450+ people indoors, provided 1,300 meals a day to families in need, and partnered with LA County to temporarily convert four motels to new shelters for people at risk of or infected with coronavirus.

“The COVID pandemic and recent attention on police brutality have highlighted long-existing racial disparities within our country, ” says Stephanie Klasky-Gamer, President and CEO. “As advocates in housing and homeless services, LA Family Housing is actively working against racist policies that disproportionately impact black people and other communities of color. We’re committed to creating change by providing access to safe and stable housing, and we invite the Los Angeles community to strengthen our efforts and join us.”

Home Together will provide guests with the opportunity to enhance their at-home experience with special menus from restaurant partners Angelini Osteria and Big Sugar Bakeshop, as well as a tasting flight of 8 California Coastal Wines from In Good Taste. A portion of the proceeds for each purchase goes directly to LA Family Housing. Deadline to place an order is June 19. Guests are also welcome to support their favorite local eateries with a free delivery code from Postmates for the first 300 guests to RSVP.
