Get Ready to Play Ball - Innings and Extra Innings Festival Returns to Tempe This February
Next up to bat: Innings Festival As we step into the new year, one of Arizona's most anticipated music events is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for February 20-22, when Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park transforms into the ultimate celebration of music and baseball, perfectly timed to kick off spring training season.
This year brings an exciting change to the festival format. While previous editions spanned two days, Innings Festival 2025 expands to a full three-day experience, giving attendees even more time to jam out, explore local vendors, and soak up those beautiful Arizona vibes.
The lineup is nothing short of impressive, featuring over 25 bands across multiple genres. Whether you're into pop, indie, or old-school classics, there's something for everyone. This year's roster includes powerhouse acts like Goo Goo Dolls, Marcy Playground, Peach Pit, OK Go, Sublime, Blink-182, and Mumford & Sons, among many others. Marcus Mumford took the stage at Innings Festival in 2023 for a solo set, but this time he returns reunited with the band - hopefully bringing fan-favorite hits from their recent album, Rushmere. The group’s fifth studio album was released in March 2025, and their sixth, Prizefighter, is slated for release in February 2026. Festival-goers may even be among the first to hear newly released singles performed live.
It's the perfect opportunity to dance with friends (or make new ones) under the stunning Arizona skies.
Between sets, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of on-site vendors including High West, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Club Wyndham, Tito's, White Claw, and more, ensuring you stay refreshed throughout the weekend. But wait, there's more!
The party doesn't stop when Innings Festival ends. Extra Innings Festival follows the very next weekend on February 27-28, bringing a country music twist to the baseball celebration. This two-day event features an incredible lineup including Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Shaboozey, Hardy, and more. Get ready to kick the dust up and stomp those boots!
Full disclosure: seeing Megan Moroney at last year's Extra Innings inspired me to buy white cowboy boots, and they'll definitely be making an appearance this year. Festival
Insider Tips:
Catch Zia Records for Exclusive Vinyl:
Music collectors, this one's for you! Zia Records will be selling vinyl from featured artists throughout the festival. Keep an eye on their social media, as artists from the lineup often stop by to sign records. It's your chance to snag some truly unique memorabilia.
Beatbox:
Always fun seeing Beatbox onsite. Pass by the booth to grab limited-edition swag during the weekend. Pro-Tip: If they have bandanas, grab one! Once the wind picks up, the sand / dust in the area is unmatched. This handy bandana will be a life-safer.
Jersey Mike's Has Your Back:
The beloved sandwich chain returns to keep festival-goers fueled. In previous years, Jersey Mike's has given away free subs to attendees who downloaded their app. Check their social media closer to the event for details on timing and giveaways.
Step Off the Mound for Baseball Fun:
Located on the left side of the festival grounds, you'll find all the baseball activities your heart desires. Test your arm at the speed pitch station, take some swings in the batting cage, and get into the true spirit of spring training. For an extra special experience, catch intimate conversations with your favorite artists or baseball legends hosted by Ryan Dempster.
Whether you're a fan of alternative rock, classic hits, pop, or country music, Innings and Extra Innings festivals offer the perfect combination of incredible music and baseball celebration. It's the ultimate way to welcome spring training season. Play ball!
