Recently influencers and insiders gathered at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in participation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The inspiring event took place at Fig & Olive Melrose Place and paid homage to spreading awareness over the disease that, in one way or another, touched everyone.
According to the National Cancer Institute one in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime and every two minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. By raising awareness and educating individuals on breast cancer, early detection rates can increase as well as hopefully finding a cure.
Guests were amongst the first to check out a special prix fixe dinner menu that was curated by Executive Chef Wilfrid Hocquet & Nutritionist Elissa Goodman, in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation with their partnership with Fig & Olive. Guests experienced and celebrated the prix fix menu's health benefits associated with the Mediterranean Diet. Items such as quinoa, fennel salad along with Salmon and artichokes are just a few items on the menu all inspired to live a healthy and gluten-free lifestyle.
From October 3rd - October 31st, diners can order the curated NBCF prix fixe dinner for $55. Fig & Olive Melrose Place will also kick off their 'Pink Thursdays' 'Happy Hours' from 7pm- 10pm. Starting Thursday, October 6th, and all Thursdays in October, they will have an array of: Pink Bites (starting $3), Pink Bubbles (starting $10), Pink Wine (starting $10), and Pink Cocktails (starting $9). Part of the proceeds from both of these special limited-run menus will be donated directly to NBCF to aid awareness and research for breast cancer awareness.
