Cardi B Drops Second Collab with Fashion Nova - More Cutouts, More Fun, and Purely Summertime Fine
Cardi B and Fashion Nova are at it again! At 9PM PST LAST NIGHT the second round of collaboration from the Billboard winner has hit the site. Based off of the press release the line "is inspired by '80s and '90s influences, balanced with themes of empowerment and rebellion... The collection has an overarching sexiness to create a new urban subculture all its own." What better way to celebrate than a HUGE party in Hollywood with other famed artist, and insiders?!
The invite-only event took place at the Hollywood Palladium. Meek Mill, Lil Nas, Trey Songs, Blueface, Meek Mill, YG, were just some of the big names in the building. The venue boasted neon colors to heighten the experience and boldness of the collection. Towards the end of the evening attendees were given one hell of a performance by Cardi B herself! Of course, she brought out many celebs such as: Blueface and YG for their respective collaborations!
If you all remember, her last collaboration a few months ago sold out in MINUTES! It’s no wonder, Kulture’s mother has got some style! Cardi B says her collection won't be as risque as some of the other Fashion Nova lines, telling W magazine that working women could even wear her line in the office. "This one is different than the first because we have more color. We have more cutouts, it's more fun," Cardi told ET' at the launch party. "It's more summertime, but it also has that Matrix look that I like."
"I wanted a neon jungle [for this] shoot -- vintage, desert vibes. I really wanted it to look like a high fashion campaign because we're doing high fashion on an affordable budget," she added. "It's sexy. So classy and clean. I love it!"
The songstress has never been camera shy and has ALWAYS stepped up for empowering women! Her collaborations with Fashion Nova showcases that she can do it all and cater to every outing.
“I mean, you don’t have to show skin to be sexy! You can stay covered up, but you have to wear something that’s flattering your body, you know what I’m saying? Sometimes I don’t even show my whole body, and still I know it's a very sexy look. It has to do with flattery and the way you do your face and hair to go with the look,” Cardi explained to Elle. “You don’t gotta be sexy by showing everything. You do it by understanding your body shape, and what you want to show off. And make sure you got the right accessories! You gotta commit to the full look.”
Offset’s bae and mother to Kulture also hopes to pass on these positive affirmations to her daughter. “The first lesson I want her to know is don’t be too extra. Less is more, you know? Elegance takes it all, every time. You can never go wrong with elegance. I want her to learn that the most.”
Her collaboration is everything - Okurrr! Check it out before it’s sold out and let us know what you think in the comments!
