Pavé the Way - Advancing Storytelling, Advocacy, and Equality Through Jewelry

We all have our reasons for wearing certain pieces of jewelry. Whether it was given by a loved one or not, jewelry often tells a story in some way or another. Pavé the Way, is changing the way we view these pieces. More than statement pieces, it’s a conversation starter that could save lives.

Founded by philanthropist, social entrepreneur, and jewelry designer Joan Hornig, the fine jewelry brand gives 100% of the profits of each piece being donated to the purchaser’s charity of choice. Pavé the Way's designs feature ethically sourced diamonds, and include over 220 designs featuring necklaces, stackable bracelets, bangles, rings, ear cuffs, studs and huggies. The beloved brand recently relaunched and is currently aimed at millennials and Gen Z to encourage giving, empowerment and "helping others have an impact."

“It’s a line that means advocacy, impact, through personal expression. We are all citizens of a community and we must all work together to go forward,” Hornig shares with Identify LA exclusively. “The goal was to advance storytelling through jewelry. We are taking jewelry that really paves the way with the idea that everyone can make a difference for someone else.”

Currently there a few collections: Empower Tools, Food for Thought, No Planet B. Each collection has a strong meaning created to be the undeniable force from the brand.

The Empower Tools line is full of pieces that have names like; “You Know the Drill,” “Steps to Equality,” and “Level the Playing Field.” If smaller, simple yet classy pieces are your style you’ll love the Tool Bit collection. Food for Thought is a unique play on words. The collection is full of fruit-forward pieces such as theA-Peel to Equality’ earrings that are dainty swoon-worthy banana earrings.

“Not only are we using ethically sourced materials, we are paying fair wages. We are supporting inclusivity and diversity amongst so many other things,” Hornig continues. “We can all be conscious consumers.”

Whether it’s for you or for a loved one, a gift from Pavé the Way is more than a statement piece. It’s a step towards equality, human kindness, and a better future for us all.
