Claima Stories Makes an Impressive Debut at ComplexCon 2021

ComplexCon has always done it for the culture! Making its return since the COVID-19 lockdown, the fest took place at the Long Beach Convention Center Nov. 6th and 7th. Hip -Hop and lifestyle brands joined forces once again to bring a full line up of conversation starters, exclusive drops, phenomenal performances.

Claima Stories, the leading career podcast that addresses the alarming disparity of BIPOC-youth in creative industries, will be hosting an immersive booth at ComplexCon in partnership with Vistaprint providing two deserving BIPOC small business owners Little Africa and Lazy Cake activation space at this year’s ComplexCon in Los Angeles, along with a $15,000 grant and exhibit space at the groundbreaking festival. The pimp-out-style purple van that recently did the 30 day, 4 city tour.

Hosted by Bimma Williams, a nearly 11-year industry veteran who's previously worked in Global Entertainment Marketing for Nike and also held positions at Adidas and Saucony, was appalled by the lack of diversity within the footwear industry. So instead of contributing to the problem and remaining silent, he abandoned his “dream job” in order to disrupt the status quo instead. ‘Claima Stories’ -- as in “claim a seat at the table -- features prominent creators, professionals, and influencers of color sharing incredible insight and personal stories about the business behind the business.

The Claima Stories immersive booth for ComplexCon will also house the brand's revamped state-of-the-art mobile studio, Storytella, which dons the brand’s signature progressive purple. The team will also conduct podcast interviews live from the booth to further engage the community with interactive conversations intent on inspiring the next generation of BIPOC creative leaders and frontrunners. In addition to the ComplexCon activation, Claima Stories and Vistaprint will select an additional five deserving BIPOC small business owners to receive VIP admission to ComplexCon and dedicated networking support to help them build meaningful connections through the event.

The side project turned full time gig has expanded their vision throughout this year in partnership with Vistaprint that has awarded more than 18 small BIPOC-owned businesses $15,000 grants and marketing collateral.
