Los Angeles is a city immersed in culinary food and many versatile wines, however a new spot is opening up in the heart of Culver City. The Detour Bistro Bar is about the be the 'best detour ever'.

Located at 12473 W. Washington Blvd. The Detour Bistro Bar will open its doors to the public starting on April 6th. Owner and Chef: Ranni Kumgisky and managing owner Dane Pearson are the two masterminds behind this creation. 

Making almost everything in-house, using farm fresh ingredients, not to mention a world-class wine program with more than 26 by the glass options that are paired to the menu, The Detour Bistro Bar has something for everyone. 

Recently media and industry insiders were treated to a quick glimpse of some of the staples from the venue. Below is a complete list of items we were able to try.


Meatball Flatbread -  seasoned meatballs, tomato sauce, parmesan cheese

Yam & Brie Flatbread - yam, brie, truffle oil

Lamb & Goat Cheese Flatbread - lamb, goat cheese, apricot marmalade, mint

Mushroom Risotto - served on endive 

Mini Cubano - pork, ham, pickles, pepper jack cheese, taller bread

Shrimp tacos - cabbage, cilantro sauce, corn tortilla


Summer Splash - vodka, cranberry, pineapple, sweet & sour

Honey Old Fashion - bourbon, bitters, organic honey

Diablo - tequila, fresh lime, crème de cassis


Prelius - Italian Cabernet Sauvignon

Turò Negre - Spanish Blend

Chilensis - Chardonnay

King Estate - Oregon Pinot Gris
