Rose & Thorn - International Street Food with a Twist in LoDo

Denver is undeniably known for its craft brew scene, however its culinary scene is quite top notch as well. Located in the lower downtown (LoDo) area of Denver, Rose & Thorn is catering to the masses and has quickly become a local favorite. Rose & Thorn is serving up international street food with a twist.

Rose & Thorn’s menu features: Duck Taquitos, Cubano Sliders, Caribbean Chicken Curry, a 30-lb Suckling Pig and more! A weekend brunch covers dishes such as: an Arepa Benedict, and brunch must-haves like Huevos Rancheros, Cuban French Toast.

The fun goes beyond your plate! Once dinner completes make your way downstairs to a rum bar located in a speakeasy setting. The Double Barrel Club allows guests to transport to Havana, Cuba circa 1950!

The decked out space has infused ice cubes, courtesy of an onsite “ice laboratory,” which range from rose petal and black garlic maple, according to The Know. The infamous ice laboratory comes in the shape of a rose and is anything but ordinary. The new extensive menu consists of about 15 different variations.

The idea is a new approach to a cocktails by developing artisan infused ices to pair with cocktails. Whether you want something sweet, refreshing, or unique you can mix and match flavors with any cocktail or simply infuse your non-alcoholic beverages for a little extra flavor in your cup!

Not sure what you’d like to drink, no problem! The experienced bartenders will create a well-balance beverage to complete your meal! My personal favorite was the Agua de Rosa (Spring 44 Vodka, St. Germain’s, Rose Water, Lemon, Grapefruit) topped with the Raspberry Rose simply refreshing!

International street food AND a rum bar in a speakeasy setting, what more could you ask for? The entire experience is enticing and a great night out! All takes place at 1433 17th St., the new home for Rose & Thorn and its sister property Double Barrel Club, taking over the former Southern Hospitality space in LoDo.
