Tacos and margs – what more can you want?! Whatever it may be, trust Lanea can deliver. Lanea is a spirit-driven cocktail bar located one block from the beach, that focuses on an extensive selection of over 400 hand-selected mezcals and tequilas! The California coastline meets modern Mexican food at this west side establishment.

Located in Santa Monica, Lanea delivers a fresh twist on Mexican food by highlighting local flavors. The ambitious menu of course has staples, but the joy is the customization that comes along (without the hefty price tag). While they only have three options for burritos, diners will be more than pleased regarding the tacos on the list. The tacos may be small, they pack a ton of flavor. Tacos start at about $2.00 each and there is a pretty extensive list of options such as: Shrimp Taco, Cesina Taco, Barbacoa Tacos and more. The goodness doesn’t stop there! The list of quesadillas is equally impressive.
The Barbacoa Taco is lamb wrapped in agave leaves and pit-roasted underground for 36 hours. The meat is tender and flavorful. This is a must-try.
All tacos and quesadillas are served on handmade to order 100% gluten free corn tortillas.
Another thing that makes Lanea stand out is its ability to adapt during these uncertain times. Taking full advantage of its’ ideal location, Lanea offers a multitude of take-away options where you can enjoy your food on the beach! Our favorite was the Picnic Pack, which comes with (6) tacos of your choice, (2) handmade cocktails, chips and pico de gallo and (1) Mexican blanket.
As if you needed one more reasons to put Lanea on your list, they also offer Happy hour is all-day, everyday with $2 tacos and $9 cocktails!

Our New Year celebrations will look a little different this year! Plans won’t be lavish, and we may not be celebrating with counting down with hundreds of strangers around us (in-person), however that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate with delicious beverages.
