Built in 1929, Hacienda Del Sol started as an all-girls prep academy for some of the countries most affluent families such as Vanderbilt. The daughters of these families would attend classes, sunbathe, and take care of their horses during the 9-months of their stay at the property. Currently the property added the 'guest ranch' and sits on 39 acres in the Catalina foothills guests are surrounded by beauty with a touch of history. Recently undergoing an expansion to a total of 59 rooms, the property now has its newer 'Catalina rooms', but still maintains to keep is historic integrity. Each room, suite, and casita is filled with classic southwestern elegance that compliments the lifestyle and mantra of Arizona.
There is even a room dedicated to old Hollywood love! The Tracy-Hepburn Casita Grande, named after the love between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, is a 2000 sq.ft and is a split floor plan with two bedrooms, two patios, kitchen, fireplace, lots of privacy and just so happened to serve as a legendary secret hideaway for the two stars.

The resort also has the Terraza and The Grill as dining options for your stay. The Grill restaurant has over 900 labels and 6000 bottles of wine which has earned the property "The Award of Ultimate Distinction" by Wine Enthusiasts Magazine and "Best of Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator for 16 consecutive years.
